Audrey Hepburn- Queen of style

Audrey Hepburn or as I like to call her- “La reine du style”.  Even those who dare to criticize her acting skills, worship this perfect vision of hers. She not only ”wears” style, she is the pure and unique style itself. Her elegant figure, her grace, her femininity, her royal look and her impeccable taste of clothing is what was and will always be used as a source of inspiration for many stylist and designers.

Looking at the priceless heritage that we’ve got left from her (loads of amazing photographs), I can’t help falling in love with these amazing dresses… Or maybe it’s not only the outfit I am crazy about…maybe it’s the whole composition which shows both, how elegant, fragile, graceful but also how strong, firm, and determined is Audrey- The true and the only icon of style.
Now, as I am writing this, I am realizing that this is what I want to see more of. Not only all these “copy, paste” dresses from the near and the far away past that people wear and call “vintage”, so they can add a bit more of flavor to them, but this royal feeling, and attitude, and emotion- this is what turns the garment into a glamorous, unforgettable, timeless, and unique dress.
This Givenchy haute couture dress in a fluid soft velvet has clusters of gold organically shaped sequins trimmed in patent leather.  The front is simple and classic and the back dips suggestively low.
This was the first wedding dress to make use of black lace embellishments.
A Givenchy Audrey Hepburn Wedding Gown Shoot

In 1954, Audrey Hepburn was nominated for a best actress Oscar for Roman Holiday and accepted the award in Givenchy. Hepburn demonstrated her capacity for elegance with Givenchy’s classic white gown, gently cinched at the waist.
